UI Law Workshop To Help Find Money To Finance Home Renovation
An upcoming workshop in Dubuque will help individuals and organizations find financing to renovate a home to make it accessible to disabled persons.
The Iowa Project for Assistive Technology (IPAT) and the University of Iowa College of Law's Legal Clinic are sponsoring the "Home Access Modification and Barrier Removal Workshop." The two-hour workshop will be held Tuesday, Dec. 9, at 10 a.m. in the auditorium of the Carnegie-Stout Public Library at 360 11th St. in Dubuque. Admission is free and open to the public.
The workshop and discussion will be conducted by staff members from the UI College of Law's Legal Clinic. They will provide information on how people and organizations can find money from state, federal and other sources to help retrofit a home to make it easier for persons with mobility, sight, hearing, cognitive, or other difficulties to live in it.
