UITV To Air Public Forums With Provost Candidates
University of Iowa Television (UITV) will broadcast the public forums/Q&A sessions scheduled for each of the six UI provost candidates, who are interviewing at the UI now through Dec. 17.
The candidates are being identified at noon the day before each scheduled interview. To date, the only named candidate is Scott L. Waugh, professor of history and dean of social sciences in the University of California-Los Angeles College of Letters and Science.
Waugh's interview began Monday, Dec. 1 and runs through today, Dec. 2. His public forum/Q&A was held Monday afternoon and is scheduled to air on UITV at 7 p.m. today and at 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5.
The proposed air times of the remaining five candidates' forums are:
Dec. 4-5 candidate: 7 p.m. Dec. 5 and 7 p.m. Dec. 8
The forum is just one of two public events planned for the candidates. Each candidate also will participate in a symposium on his or her scholarly activities. There are currently no plans to air the symposia on UITV.

In Iowa City, UITV airs on Channel 17. The Cedar Rapids Community Schools airs it on Channel 17 on the Mediacom system and Channel 13 on the McLeod system.
