Catalyst Award Nominations Accepted
The University of Iowa Office of Affirmative Action is accepting nominations for the fifth annual Catalyst Award to honor diversity-related best practices and recognize individuals and departments that promote the development of an inclusive, diverse campus community.
A minimum of two Catalyst Awards are given each year -- one to an individual and one to a department/unit. Award recipients receive a $500 cash award and are honored at a campus-wide reception, scheduled for October 9.
Individuals and units can be nominated by using an online nomination form, which can be found at http://www.uiowa.edu/~oaa/nominating_form.htm. Nomination forms must be submitted to the Office of Affirmative Action no later than Thursday, May 1. Self-nominations are also welcome. A review committee of representatives from various offices and constituencies will review nominations and select the recipients of the Catalyst Award.
