UI's Geneva Lecture Committee seeks nominees for Sixth Annual Faith and Learning Award

The Geneva Lecture Committee at the University of Iowa is seeking nominees for its Sixth Annual Faith and Learning Award to foster an awareness of the relevance of the Christian faith to the academic endeavor.

The nominee must be a past or present member of the University of Iowa community. The task of integration can be accomplished in a variety of ways including teaching, mentoring, research, writing, speaking and involvement in the programs of Christian organizations. The recipient of this award is a person who has one or more of these activities that the life of the mind is an important context for the service of God.

Last year's award was given to Professor Paul Heidger of the department of cell biology in the University of Iowa Roy J. and Lucille A. Carver College of Medicine. Previous award winners include James Martins '97, Marvin Lynch '98, George Forell '99 and Marilynne Robinson '00.
