NEWS RELEASE FROM THE BOARD OF REGENTS, STATE OF IOWA
UIs Neala Arnold, Board of Regents member, invites students to share
Neala Arnold, a senior and student member of the Board of Regents, State
of Iowa, invites students of Iowa's three public universities to share with
her their concerns, ideas and suggestions. The Board of Regents is the governing
agency that oversees the three universities -- the University of Iowa, Iowa
State and University of Northern Iowa -- as well as the Iowa School for the
Deaf and the Iowa Braille and Sight Saving School.
Arnold will be available Monday and Wednesday from 2 to 3 p.m. in her office,
211 Macbride Hall on the University of Iowa campus. Students can also contact
her by e-mail, email@example.com;
by phone, (319) 335-1518; or by fax, (319)353-2575.
An elementary education major with a minor in English, Arnold was appointed
to the nine-member Board of Regents by Gov. Tom Vilsack. She replaced former
student Regent Lisa Ahrens, an Iowa State University student who resigned
her post on the board earlier this year. Arnold will complete her term next
April, when she could be reappointed by the board or replaced with a new student
Regent. Arnold, who is from Bettendorf, Iowa, plans to graduate in May.
