UI Health Care nursing specialist named regional director
The American Society of Plastic Surgical Nurses (ASPSN) recently named a
University of Iowa Health Care nursing specialist as its Midwest Regional
Claudette J. Heddens, an advanced registered nurse practitioner, serves
as a nurse coordinator in the Plastic Surgery Section at UI Hospitals and
Clinics. She will assume her new duties in 2003.
"I'm honored to have this opportunity to give back to our nursing specialty,"
Heddens said. "I'm really excited making a contribution to plastic surgery
Heddens previously served as Regional Chapters Coordinator for ASPSN.
ASPSN formed in 1975. Its membership now includes more than 1,700 plastic
and reconstructive surgical nurses. The organization serves its members through
a national structure of four regions and a network of local chapters in the
United States and Canada.
