UI Alumni Association sponsors bowl tour

The University of Iowa Alumni Association (UIAA) is sponsoring a variety of tours for the Hawkeye's possible appearance in the Rose Bowl game Jan. 1 in Pasadena, Calif.

The tours depart from Cedar Rapids or Des Moines airports, but also include land-only options to meet fans' schedules and budgets. If the Hawkeyes are invited to a bowl other than the Rose Bowl, fans will have the option to switch their reservation to the new bowl tour or receive a full refund.

The tour packages are:

  • Black and Gold Deluxe, Dec. 28 – Jan. 2, 6 days/5 nights. This air/land deluxe tour includes a New Year's Eve party, a welcome reception, the Hawkeye Huddle, and a game-day package that includes a reserved parade ticket in the grandstands, a catered pre-game tailgate party just outside the Rose Bowl, game ticket. Hotels include the Century Plaza, Renaissance Beverly Hills, and the Le Meridian.
  • Hawkeye Special, Dec. 30 – Jan. 2, 4 days/3 nights. This is a shorter air/land trip that still offers the Hawkeye Huddle plus all of the game-day excitement, including a reserved grandstand ticket for the Tournament of Roses parade, a catered pre-game tailgate party, and Rose Bowl game ticket. This tour will stay at the Hollywood Renaissance Hotel
  • "Herky" Local Tour, Dec. 31 – Jan. 2, 3 days/2 nights. This land only option includes catered pre-game tailgate party, Rose Bowl game ticket, and an option to add a reserved grandstand ticket for the Tournament of Roses parade. Hotel for this package will be the Crowne Plaza Beverly Hills
