Miller awarded fellowship into pharmacy society
Miller, Pharm.D., University of Iowa professor of clinical and administrative
pharmacy and director of the UI College of Pharmacy's Center for Improving
Medication Use in the Community, has received fellowship into the American
Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP).
The fellowship into ASHP acknowledges Miller's excellence and achievements
in pharmacy practice. The society was created to advance and support pharmaceutical
practices in hospitals and health systems. ASHP's mission is to serve as the
collective voice on issues relating to medication use and public health.
Miller is recognized for his sustained record of practice excellence including
contributions to the scientific literature and research and for his continued
support of the profession through membership in ASHP and other pharmacy organizations.
Miller is a past president of the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy
and the American College of Clinical Pharmacy. He has written more than 100
publications, including descriptive papers concerning health-system pharmacy
practice and evaluative and outcome research studies dealing with pharmaceutical
education and pharmacy practice.
