Bridging the Gap program offers law school preview

IOWA CITY, Iowa -- Minorities interested in attending law school are invited to participate in the Bridging the Gap Minority Pre-Law Conference, sponsored by the University of Iowa College of Law, Friday, March 8. The all-day conference at the Boyd Law Building offers participants opportunities to learn about the application process, the types of programs offered at law schools, and information about law-related fields. The registration deadline is Wednesday, Feb. 27, and the fee is $30.

The tentative agenda for the conference includes a light breakfast and lunch, information sessions on preparing for the Law School Admission Test, a writing workshop, and a mock law school class led by a law professor. Participants will also receive information about career opportunities, financial aid resources, and at a reception, meet representatives from other law schools present at the program.
