Chicago film critic to visit UI for Iranian film screening Dec. 7

Jonathan Rosenbaum, film critic for the Chicago Reader, will visit the University of Iowa at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec.7 for a screening of the Iranian film, "The House is Black," by Forugh Farrokhzad in Room 101, Becker Communication Studies Building. Rosenbaum was instrumental in making the 22-minute documentary about a leper colony. The film is made available to English-speaking audiences through the addition of subtitles.

The screening is part of a semester-long seminar on Iranian film in the UI College of Liberal Arts and Sciences department of cinema and comparative literature. The event is free and open to the public. For more information, contact the UI Institute for Cinema and Culture at 335-1348.
