Individuals aged 60 and older invited to participate in UI driving study
University of Iowa Health Care researchers are conducting a study on mobility
and aging in the hopes of developing techniques aimed at helping individuals
improve their daily lives.
Men and women age 60 and older who are legally licensed and presently driving
may be eligible to participate in the study.
Study participants will be asked to take computer tests, fill out questionnaires,
drive a driving simulator and drive a car on Iowa City streets. The study
is broken down into two sessions, totaling about 6 hours. Participants will
also be invited back to take the same tests one year later. Compensation for
time and effort is available. Minorities are encouraged to participate.
