UI College of Law, Bar Association co-sponsor 48th Annual Spring Tax Institute
in Iowa City
48th Annual Spring Tax Institute, sponsored by the University of Iowa College
of Law and the Iowa State Bar Association, will be Friday and Saturday, May
3-4 at the Highlander Inn (formerly the Radisson Inn), 2525 North Dodge St.
(exit 246 off of I-80) in Iowa City.
Nationally known speaker Natalie Choate, of Bingham Dana LLP, Boston, Mass.,
will be the keynote speaker May 3. Choate is the author of "Life and
Death Planning for Retirement Benefits" and speaks regularly at national
estate planning conferences. Choate will be speaking for four hours about
retirement plans, including selected case studies, making retirement benefits
payable to trusts, charitable gifts of retirement benefits, and "hidden
gold in the code."
This year's Spring Tax Institute registration fee is $195 and will qualify
for 10 hours of CLE credit, one hour of ethics credit, and 7.75 hours of federal
