UI College of Pharmacy Research Achievement Day is April 24

           The University of Iowa College of Pharmacy Division of Clinical and Administrative Pharmacy will host its third annual Research Achievement Day Symposium and Poster Session Wednesday, April 24.

            John Rodman, Pharm.D., professor at the University of Tennessee College of Pharmacy and vice chair of pharmaceutical service at St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tenn., will deliver a lecture titled, "Challenges and Opportunities for Drug Development and Evaluation in Children." Rodman's lecture will be from noon to 1 p.m. in Room S538 in the Pharmacy Building.

            A poster session highlighting research projects by pharmacy faculty, undergraduate and graduate students, fellows, and residents will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. in the atrium of the Eckstein Medical Research Building. A reception and award ceremony for the poster session will begin at 3:30 p.m.

            "Research Achievement Day is a great opportunity for faculty, staff and students across the UI campus to learn more about the work being done by College of Pharmacy researchers and students," said Vicki Ellingrod, Pharm.D., UI assistant professor of clinical and administrative pharmacy and one of the event's organizers.
