UI WISE program hosts Nov. 3 workshop

IOWA CITY, Iowa -- The University of Iowa Women in Science and Engineering (WISE) program will sponsor a 9 a.m. to noon, Saturday, Nov. 3 professional development workshop for UI faculty, staff, and community women on, "Overcoming the Impostor Syndrome: Women Who Doubt Their Competence (and Shouldn't!)," at the Sheraton Inn, Downtown Iowa City.

Presented by Valerie Young, Ph.D., an internationally recognized expert on "Impostor Syndrome," the workshop is designed to help women identify and then unlearn self-limiting attitudes and behaviors that stand between themselves and their goals.

The cost of the workshop, which includes an 8:30 a.m. breakfast, is $25. Interested persons should contact WISE at (319) 335-3530 or at before Oct. 29.
