UI College of Medicine, Public Health investigators garner Research Week awards

IOWA CITY, Iowa -- Graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and faculty and research scientists in the UI College of Medicine and the UI College of Public Health were awarded for their poster presentations during Research Week, held April 9-12.

The theme for this year's Research Week was "Biomedical and Public Health Research in the Post-Genomic Era." This is the first year that the two colleges have collaborated for the week of events, which included lectures, poster sessions, and a daylong symposium April 12.

Following are the names of the award winners, along with the title of each researcher's poster presentation:
