Speaker of U.S. House of Representatives, Representatives Leach and Nussle
to Tour University of Iowa Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center, Friday, March 16


Tour of the research facilities of the UI Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center, followed by a news conference. The focus of the events will be biomedical research and an announcement about plans to increase the National Institutes of Health budget.

Tour, 2:20 p.m., Friday, March 16. Meet in Room 2-338 of the Bowen Science Building (BSB)

News Conference, 2:55 p.m., MacEwen Conference Room, 1-561 BSB. Mult-box will be provided.

Due to the restricted availability of Speaker Hastert, media representatives who wish to obtain photographs or videotape of the tour of the research facilities are asked to arrive in Room 2-338 of the Bowen Science Building by 2:20 p.m. Parking will be available along the service road between the BSB and the Medical Laboratories Building. (Turn right, or north, from Grand Avenue in front of the Field House and pass the College of Pharmacy, then turn right.) The media availability will follow at 2:55 p.m. in 1-561 BSB.
