New physician assistant joins Deer Creek Family Care in Toledo

IOWA CITY, Iowa -- Sherry Parks, a certified physician assistant, has joined Deer Creek Family Care at Deer Creek Health Center in Toledo.

Parks replaces physician assistant Teresa Sieck and will begin seeing patients at Deer Creek Family Care July 16. She received her physician assistant certificate in 2000 from the Des Moines University Osteopathic Medical Center. Before becoming a physician assistant, Parks worked as a licensed practice nurse in Marshalltown.

"I'm excited about the opportunity to work in the Tama-Toledo area," Parks said, "and I look forward to meeting the health care needs of the community." She resides in the nearby town of Garwin.

"We are very pleased to welcome Sherry Parks to Deer Creek Family Care," said Andy Bagnall, administrator of Deer Creek Health Center. "She is very committed to serving the people of Tama, Toledo and surrounding areas."

Community members are invited to meet the new providers at a community open house, which will be announced at a later date.

Deer Creek Family Care is located in Deer Creek Health Center, 401 First Ave, in Toledo.
