UI Staff Development offers Spring Seminar Series

IOWA CITY, Iowa -- The University of Iowa Office of Staff Development is offering a set of seminars designed to enhance organizational, communication, and management skills.

This one-time Spring Seminar Series features speakers from National Seminars Group, who will present techniques for both personal and professional enrichment.

The series, which takes place in Iowa City, is open to both UI faculty and staff and the public.
It begins Tuesday, Feb. 6 with "How to Get Organized and Get it All Done," followed by a collection of communication courses including "Powerful Presentation Skills" (March 20), "How to Communicate with Confidence and Credibility" (April 12), and "Business Writing and Grammar Skills" (May 15-16). The final seminar, "Solutions to Unique Management Problems of Technical Supervisors", will be June 14. More information can be found online at in the "Special Events" section.

The fee for each daylong seminar is $99; the two-day "Grammar and Business Writing" session is $189. Those who attend three or more programs will receive a 10 percent discount. The registration deadline for the first program is Tuesday, Jan. 23; call (319) 335-2687 for registration and information.
