UI offers Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Program

IOWA CITY, Iowa -- Counseling and Health Promotion Services in the UI Family Care Center at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics will offer two fall sessions of the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Program.

The program is eight weeks long and helps people develop the skills to manage stress and chronic conditions using mindfulness meditation as the core of the program.

Two sessions are available: Sept. 11 through Oct. 30 with classes meeting from 10 a.m. to noon Tuesdays, and Sept. 12 through Oct. 31 with classes meeting 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesdays.
