Fun, food and Hawkeye football planned for Alumni Homecoming Reunion 2000

IOWA CITY, Iowa -- University of Iowa alumni celebrating their class reunions will have a full slate of activities to enjoy during the University of Iowa Alumni Association's Homecoming Reunion 2000, Oct. 6-7.

The Alumni Association is hosting reunions for the UI classes of 1975, 1980 and 1990, along with the College of Law, Liberal Arts and Nursing class of 1970, and the Henry B. Tippie College of Business class of 1995.

Open houses, college events, reunion class dinners and pre-game tailgates are just some of the activities the alumni will participate in during Homecoming Reunion 2000.

In addition, all alumni are invited to attend the Fourth Annual Alumni Homecoming Tailgate before the Iowa/Michigan State football game on Saturday, Oct. 7.

"The Alumni Homecoming Tailgate is a great opportunity for all alumni to come back to campus and enjoy fun, food and Hawkeye football," said Staci Prochaska, the Alumni Association's reunion director. The pre-game festivities have moved outside this year and will be located just south of Hawkeye Village.

Kickoff for the game is scheduled for 11:10 a.m. in Kinnick Stadium (subject to change). Most game-day activities, including the Alumni Tailgate, will begin two hours prior to kickoff.
