UI Family Care, Mormon Trek to hold seminar on menopause Oct. 25

IOWA CITY, Iowa -- Area residents are invited to a free health education seminar on the topic of menopause from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 25 at the North Liberty Community Center.

The seminar, titled "The Years After Menopause," is sponsored by UI Family Care, Mormon Trek/Primary Care for Women. The featured speakers are Leslie Riley, M.D., and Nancee Blum, a licensed social worker with UI Behavioral Health.

Riley, an internal medicine physician at UI Family Care, Mormon Trek/Primary Care for Women will discuss health issues that menopausal women will face in the 21st century. Blum will talk about psychological symptoms associated with menopause. She provides counseling to women at UI Family Care, Mormon Trek/Primary Care for Women.
