Individuals with Alzheimer's Disease invited to participate in UI study

IOWA CITY, Iowa -- Individuals with mild to moderate Alzheimer's Disease are invited to learn if they are eligible to participate in a study being conducted by University of Iowa Health Care researchers in the department of neurology.

The researchers are studying an investigational medication for the disease, which is characterized by progressive memory loss and other cognitive deterioration.

The trial will last for six months and involve multiple visits to the clinic at two- or four-week intervals. Some subjects will receive placebos.
