Physician assistant Jaszewski joins UI Family Care Center in Tipton

IOWA CITY, Iowa -- Andy Jaszewski, PA, a graduate of the University of Iowa Physician Assistant Program in the UI College of Medicine, has joined UI Family Care Center in Tipton, Iowa. The center is an affiliate of UI Health Care.

"I'm committed to serving the community of Tipton in all aspects of care they need," Jaszewski said. "I'm very interested in the science of nutrition as a way to help people maintain good health, in educating people about healthy food habits, and in the care for the elderly."

Jaszewski has been a physician assistant in a family practice clinic for three years. He has provided nursing home care, has worked in emergency care units and has significant experience with medical conditions occurring outside specialized health care settings. He has special interest in nutritional interventions and evidence-based use of alternative therapies.

"We are very pleased that Andy is joining our team effort to continue providing comprehensive, high-quality health care to our community," said Elsie Verbick, M.D., a long-serving physician with the UI Family Care Center in Tipton.
