Public input sought on end-of-life issues
IOWA CITY, Iowa -- An Iowa City community outreach steering committee is
seeking input from local citizens in planning for educational events related
to a special public television series of programs that will examine issues
associated with the end of life.
The series, titled "On Our Own Terms: Moyers on Dying," is produced
by the Public Broadcasting System (PBS) and reported by Bill Moyers. The series
will be broadcast September 10-13 on PBS.
The steering committee invites residents of Iowa City and the surrounding
area to participate in the planning for educational events that will be held
in association with the broadcast of the PBS series. Anyone with an interest
in end of life issues is welcome to attend the steering committee's next planning
session, scheduled for 4 to 5:30 p.m. Thursday, July 27 in the McAuley Room
of the Mercy Medical Plaza located at 540 East Jefferson St. in Iowa City.
