Homeless issues to be discussed on WSUI/KSUI's 'Law at Iowa' program

IOWA CITY, Iowa — This weekend's University of Iowa Radio Forum series "Law at Iowa" on WSUI and KSUI examines issues concerning Iowa's homeless population.

Heather MacDonald, associate professor in the UI department of urban and regional planning, will discuss who is in this population and why they are homeless. There are an estimated 25,000 homeless in Iowa, according to MacDonald.

Host Lois Cox, a clinical professor in the UI College of Law, talks with MacDonald on the program, which airs Saturday, Feb. 5 at 9 p.m. and Sunday, Feb. 6 at 3:30 p.m. on WSUI AM 910 and Sunday, Feb. 6 at 5:30 p.m. on KSUI FM 91.7.
