IOWA CITY, Iowa -- Ann E. Reid, a certified physician assistant, will join the Lowden Family Medical Clinic staff on Thursday, Dec. 28. Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants, Reid will provide general family care services.

"During my 20 years in health-care, I have found my greatest personal and professional rewards come from working in small communities, and I am thrilled to have this opportunity to work in Lowden," Reid said.

Reid received her master's degree from the University of Iowa College of Medicine Physician Assistant Program in 1997. She has practiced at the Cascade Family Health Center/Medical Associates of Dubuque since her graduation. She has worked as a medical assistant, emergency medicine technician, and she has earned an associate degree in nursing from Kirkwood Community College as well as a bachelor's degree in biology from the University of Dubuque.

"We are very pleased to have Ann Reid practicing at our Lowden clinic. I believe the community and patients will find her to be a very able and patient-friendly provider," said Terry Protextor, executive director of University of Iowa Community Medical Services, Inc.
