UI offers scholarship to students planning seminary study

IOWA CITY, Iowa -- Iowans planning to study in a seminary can apply for the annual Myron J. Walker Scholarship from the University of Iowa School of Religion.

The application deadline is Feb. 15. The amount of the scholarship varies according to the number of recipients selected and money available.

The scholarship is offered to Iowa residents who plan to become a minister, a priest, or a rabbi and who are in need of financial assistance to pursue seminary studies in the coming year. Scholarship recipients are not required to remain in Iowa to pursue their studies. Selection is made by the Trust Office of Firstar Bank, Iowa City, on the recommendation of the UI School of Religion.
