Media Advisory: UI student to discuss religion with West High students

IOWA CITY, Iowa — Smita Rao, a University of Iowa graduate student from India, will visit Iowa City West High School from 8:10-9 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 5 and from 1:30-2:20 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 6 to share her personal experience of Hinduism with students in Troy Langos' World Religion class.

This visit is a part of the UI International Classroom Program (ICP). The ICP, sponsored by University of Iowa International Programs, arranges for UI international students to visit area classrooms to share their culture with Iowa students.

Reporters, photographers and videographers are welcome. West High School is located at 2901 Melrose Ave, in Iowa City. Visitors should go to the main office to be guided to Langos' classroom (Room 223).
