OB-GYN specialist to make regular Marengo Medical Center visits

IOWA CITY, Iowa -- Marygrace Elson, MD, will be providing obstetrical and specialized gynecological consultative care at the Marengo Medical Center.

She will be available the third Thursday of the month from 9 a.m. to noon, beginning Thursday, Sept. 21.

"I provide quality women's health care for women of all ages," said Elson, who also provides care to patients at UI Family Care Center, North Liberty and UI Family Care Center, Tipton. "It is important to me that a woman understand all of the options available to her to make informed personal choices. My goal is to help women employ preventative measures to maintain their personal health."

Elson, a board certified specialist in obstetrics and gynecology, began her career as a clinical assistant professor in obstetrics and gynecology at University of Wisconsin Medical School from 1986-1988. Elson has been in private practice as an obstetrician and gynecologist since 1988, first in Wisconsin then Chico, Calif., and most recently in Glen Ellyn, Ill. She graduated from the University of Illinois College of Medicine and was a resident in obstetrics and gynecology at University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics.
