Community is invited to Global Studies presentation, reception

IOWA CITY, Iowa -- University of Iowa students in the Global Studies Program (GSP) will present their honors theses during a free, public event Sunday, April 30 from 4 to 6 p.m. in the International Center Lounge on the UI campus. Following the presentations will be a potluck dinner with a grill for barbecuing. Drinks will be provided.

GSP offers undergraduates an opportunity for interdisciplinary study of the global system. The program examines peace, security, development, health, human resources, environment, natural resources, human rights, and social justice. Undergraduates may major in global studies, or complement their work in another field by pursuing a global studies certificate. There are currently an estimated 50 UI students in the program.

Individuals with disabilities are encouraged to attend all University of Iowa events. If you are a person with a disability who requires an accommodation in order to participate in the Global Studies Reception, contact Connie Noren, International Programs, at (319) 335-0345.
