University’s human resources units to move Sept. 23-29

IOWA CITY, Iowa — Several human resources units--University Benefits, Employment, Payroll, Immigration Services, and Faculty and Staff Disability Services--will be moving from Eastlawn to the new University Services Building Thursday, with the remaining offices to follow the next week. The new University Services Building is located at 1 West Prentiss, between Capitol and Madison Streets. This will be the first time in the history of the university that all its human resources offices will be located in the same building.

As a consequence of the move, University Benefits and Employment offices will have limited phone and computer access Thursday and Friday, Sept. 23 and 24. Both offices expect to be fully relocated and open for business Monday, Sept. 27.

Payroll, Immigration Services, and Faculty and Staff Disability Services are scheduled to move Monday, Sept. 27 and expect to be fully operational again in the new location on Wednesday, Sept. 29.

Most remaining Human Resources Units will be moving Tuesday, Sept. 28. Those offices include Administrative Services, Compensation and Classification, Employee and Labor Relations, Continuous Quality Improvement, and UI WorkLife, which encompasses Staff Development, Family Services, and Faculty and Staff Services. Information Management will move Wednesday, Sept. 29.

All telephone numbers and e-mail addresses will remain as currently listed.
