Car seat safety checks are available in Marengo, Belle Plaine

IOWA CITY, Iowa -- Area parents and family members can receive free car seat safety checks from noon to 1 p.m. every Monday and Friday at Marengo Medical Center and from noon to 1 p.m. on Tuesdays at UI Family Care Center, Belle Plaine.

Marengo Medical Center and UI Family Care Center, Belle Plaine are part of the University of Iowa Family Care network of primary care clinics.

Michelle Malloy, a pediatric nurse practitioner at the clinics and a certified car seat safety technician, will check children's car seats to make sure each is secure, effective and protective.
