Overcoming low self-esteem support group begins Oct.
24 at Womens Center
IOWA CITY, Iowa Overcoming low self-esteem
is the focus of a support group offered by the University of Iowa Womens
Resource and Action Center, located across from the Iowa Memorial Union.
"Self Esteem: Learning About Me" will meet
on Sundays for six weeks beginning Oct. 24 from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
The support group will explore how self-esteem develops,
body image and how our outer appearance is not the complete definition of
ourselves, says Keri Neblett, Womens Center group coordinator. "Self-esteem
affects how we relate with others, what we do and dont do and how we
view the world," Neblett adds.
Please call the Womens Center at 335-1486 for
more information or to arrange accommodations and child care.
