UI Foundation publications win awards
IOWA CITY, Iowa -- Fund-raising materials produced by the University of Iowa Foundation communications staff have received a record seven national awards from the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) of Washington, D.C., and four area awards from the Cedar Rapids Advertising Federation.
Foundation staff received CASE gold medals for brochures produced for the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics; the Hancher Circle Newsletter, designed for contributors to Hancher Auditorium; and the invitation package for the 1999 Presidents Club Assembly. The 1999 Hawkeye Fund flyer produced for the department of athletics received a silver medal. The UI Foundation's 1998 Annual Report on Giving titled "Gifts at Work," and the honor roll booklet distributed at the dedication of the Levitt Center for University Advancement both received CASE bronze awards. The 15-minute video produced in collaboration with d'elia-wittkofski, a creative services agency from Pittsburgh, for the UI College of Medicine fund-raising campaign, won a bronze medal.
The CASE recognition program honors outstanding work of the colleges, universities, and independent schools that are CASE members. CASE receives more than 3,800 entries for its nationwide annual publications awards program.
