UI medical student chosen for Oxford clerkship

IOWA CITY, Iowa -- Sadath Sayeed, a third-year student at the University of Iowa College of Medicine, has been chosen as recipient of the prestigious Oxford Clerkship at Radcliffe Infirmary, United Oxford Hospitals in Oxford, England.

The UI College of Medicine's Prizes, Awards and Fellowship Committee selects the Oxford Clerkship from members of the third-year class. Clerkship selection is based on applications from interested students, recommendations from the faculty and interviews with the finalists.

Sayeed will receive $2,500 to cover transportation and other costs during the clerkship. The clerkship will take place during the 1999-2000 academic year.
