Public invited to free seminar on alternative, complementary medicine
IOWA CITY, Iowa -- Area residents are invited to hear University of
Iowa experts discuss alternative and complementary medicine at a free seminar
Tuesday, March 23 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Hampton/Clarion Conference
Center in Coralville.
"Health for Your Lifetime, Therapeutic Healing: Alternative and
Complementary Medicine," is the third in a series of educational
seminars planned this year. Speaking at the seminar are Nicole Nisly, M.D.,
and Teresa Klepser, Pharm.D.
Nisly, assistant professor of internal medicine and director of the
Complementary and Alternative Medicine Clinic, will discuss the broad range
of healing philosophies, approaches and therapies available.
Klepser, assistant professor at the UI College of Pharmacy and pharmacist
in the Complementary and Alternative Medicine Clinic, will review the potential
benefits of herbal medicine.
The seminar is sponsored by the UI Hospitals and Clinics.
