Huber elected to nursing research society
IOWA CITY, Iowa -- Diane L. Huber, Ph.D., associate professor of nursing
at the University of Iowa, has been elected to a second term as treasurer
and governing board member of the Midwest Nursing Research Society (MNRS).
The 1,300-member MNRS promotes nursing research throughout the 13-state
Midwest region, including Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota,
Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma and Wisconsin.
First elected to the position in 1997, Huber's new term as treasurer
will begin at the organization's annual conference, to be held in Indianapolis
next month. Huber, associate editor of the national nursing journal Outcomes
Management for Nursing Practice, also will lead a workshop at the conference
on writing for publication. The program will cover discussions on writing
research, clinical, and professional nursing articles, preparing manuscripts
for interdisciplinary journals, and publishing on the Internet.
