Residents offered useful advice on healthy eating

LONE TREE, Iowa -- Area residents ages 55 and older are invited to register for a six-week informative nutrition program offered by the Lone Tree Family Practice Center for $40.

The program "Healthy Habits" will provide attendees with information on basic nutrition, shopping for food and food preparation, emotional aspects of eating, behavioral change issues, and exercise. The program features experts from Food and Nutrition Services at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics.

The classes will be from 1 to 2:30 p.m. March 17, March 24, April 7, April 14, May 19 and Sept. 15 in the Lone Tree Community Building, 119 N. Devoe St.
