UI College of Nursing offers free information session on distance learning opportunities

IOWA CITY, Iowa -- Professional nurses interested in University of Iowa off-campus coursework in nursing can attend an informational session to be offered via the Iowa Communications Network (ICN) in nine communities Thursday, July 29 from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

The interactive session will provide information about the UI College of Nursing's master of science in nursing and other programs, including admission requirements, degree program requirements, the graduate record examination and other topics. Participants will be able to ask questions.

The session is sponsored in cooperation with the UI Division of Continuing Education's Center for Credit Programs.

Beginning this fall, the College of Nursing will offer core graduate courses at selected off-campus sites. Students who qualify for admission to the UI master of science in nursing program may apply up to 12 semester hours of credit earned off campus to the graduate program.
