CHEEC seeks proposals for its seed grant program

IOWA CITY, Iowa -- The Center for Health Effects of Environmental Contamination (CHEEC) at the University of Iowa is requesting proposals for its 1999 Seed Grant Program.

Proposals must arrive at CHEEC by 5 p.m. Friday, April 2 in order to be considered. Awards will be announced Monday, May 31.

The grants are intended for projects that stimulate growth or development of innovative lines of environmental research, provide for public education or enhance the knowledge base of the environmental health community. Faculty of public or private colleges or universities in Iowa, researchers and educators affiliated with state environmental or health agencies, and other qualified researchers and educators are encouraged to apply.
