UI College of Law Equal Justice Foundation 5K Trial Run/Walk scheduled for Oct. 11

IOWA CITY, Iowa -- The Equal Justice Foundation, a University of Iowa College of Law student organization, will hold its 3rd Annual 5K Trial Run/Walk Benefit Race at 9 a.m., Sunday, Oct. 11.

Registration begins at 8 a.m. on the day of the race.

The racecourse follows a scenic sidewalk path along the Iowa River, starting and finishing at the Boyd Law Building. Prizes will be awarded after the race to the top finishers in several categories. Food will be furnished for all participants.

Participants that register by Sept. 25 are guaranteed a T-shirt. Late registrants cannot be guaranteed a T-shirt, but the Foundation will make every effort to make them available.

Pre-registration fees: students, $12; non-students, $16; raceday registration fees: students, $16; non-students, $20.

Registration forms are available at Boyd Law Building, near Room 280, and at the Iowa Memorial Union on the UI campus.

The Equal Justice Foundation provides grants to UI law students who work for little or no pay in public interest summer jobs. All profits from the race will go towards funding the grants. For more information, call (319) 335-9052.
