UI student wins Andersen Consulting Scholarship

IOWA CITY, Iowa -- Robert Hofer of West Des Moines, a senior in the University of Iowa College of Engineering, has been named the winner of the 1998 Andersen Consulting Scholarship for the College of Engineering.

Hofer, an electrical and computer engineering major who is also pursuing a degree in music in the UI College of Liberal Arts, recently served as vice president of Eta Kappa Nu, the electrical engineering honors professional society.

The Andersen Consulting Scholarship, valued at $1,000, is awarded annually to a University of Iowa engineering student who is a well-rounded, campus leader with strong academic credentials and an interest in pursuing a career in consulting.
