UI business program holds seminar on 'hiring smart' March 25

IOWA CITY, Iowa -- The founder of an eastern Iowa business consulting company will lead a half-day seminar on ways small businesses can improve their hiring process on Wednesday, March 25 at the University of Iowa College of Business Administration.

Jack Ulmer, founder of Ulmer and Associates, will lead the seminar, "The New Art of Hiring Smart," from 8 a.m. to noon March 25 in Room S401 of the Pappajohn Business Administration Building.

The session, which requires pre-registration, is sponsored by the UI Small Business Development Center. Cost is $25.

Ulmer has 16 years of experience as a human resource professional. He founded his own company in 1998 after serving as compensation and benefits manager at Norand Corporation.

His company consults for several industries and businesses in eastern Iowa.
