Student health facilities will move to Westlawn
IOWA CITY, Iowa -- The University of Iowa Student Health Service will
move to its new location in the renovated Westlawn building beginning Saturday,
Aug. 1. The move will be completed on Aug. 3 and 4, and student health
will reopen on Wednesday, Aug. 5, according to Mary Khowassah, M.D., director
of the Student Health Service.
"We are eager to get settled into our new home," Khowassah
said. "The Westlawn facility will provide UI students with a new and
expanded modern clinic. It will be more efficient, more comfortable and
fully accessible with an elevator that serves both floors of the unit.
We hope students will find the clinic to be warm and inviting."
Public parking will be available to students driving to the clinic,
and a van will be available for students who need transportation to the
UI Hospitals and Clinics. Regular office hours, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
weekdays and 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, will resume Aug. 5.
