Ragweed allergy sufferers invited to enter study

IOWA CITY, Iowa ­- People who suffer from ragweed allergy may help two University of Iowa College of Medicine studies.

Participants are invited to spend Saturday, Aug. 29 at Iowa City's City Park recording their allergy symptoms while testing a new allergy medication. Participants will visit the UI Hospitals and Clinics for two visits before the study.

The other study includes three to four visits to UIHC. Participants will record their allergy symptoms and receive allergy treatments for one week.

Screenings for the studies will be held in late July and early August. Qualified participants must be 12 years of age or older and in good general health. Compensation is available.
