UI offers spring break wildlife camp

IOWA CITY, Iowa -- "Chickadee Camp" is being offered by the University of Iowa Wildlife Camps during spring break March 16-20.

This new wildlife camp, open to students currently in grades 2-5, will give campers a unique look at wildlife that is active during late winter/early spring. Waterfowl migration and identification, raptor identification, maple syrup making and other unique early spring activities will be offered.

The campers will be bussed from the UI Recreation Building each morning at 8:30 a.m. and will return by 4:15 p.m. A late stay program is available. The camp fee is $115 and includes a Chickadee Camp T-shirt. Mail-in or walk-up registration begins Monday, Feb. 16 at the Division of Recreational Services, E216 Field House.
