UI Alumni Association sponsors free lecture on technology of driving simulation April 28

IOWA CITY, Iowa -- University of Iowa engineering professor Edward Haug will use a multi-media presentation to discuss the technology and capabilities of driving simulation at a free public program Tuesday, April 28 at the Holiday Inn University Park in West Des Moines. The program begins at 5:30 p.m. and is sponsored by the UI Alumni Association.

Haug is the director of the National Advanced Driving Simulator (NADS), which is currently under construction at the UI Oakdale Research Park. He will illustrate the expected uses by transportation researchers, businesses, and government offices nationwide, and he will explain what this center means for the state of Iowa.
