UI business program offers seminar on training and change Oct. 28
IOWA CITY, Iowa -- Helping managers and supervisors develop skills for
training employees in a world of "rightsizing," "restructuring,"
and temporary workers is the goal of a seminar Tuesday, Oct. 28 at the
University of Iowa College of Business Administration.
"Training for a Rapidly Changing Workplace," presented by
the UI Office of Management and Business Development, will meet in Room
W401 of the Pappajohn Business Administration Building.
The seminar is open to the public but requires advanced registration.
The day's sessions begin at 8:30 a.m. with registration and run until 4
p.m. There is an hour break for lunch.
The course is designed to introduce managers to the basic skills, knowledge
and techniques needed for effective coaching, mentoring and training practices.
The sessions are intended for managers at various levels of an organization.
Registration fees are $225 per person. For two or more people from the
same company or organization, the fee is $200 per person.
Jude P. West, professor in the department of management and organizations
and director of executive programs in the UI College of Business Administration,
will lead the seminar.
