UI business professors honored for their scholarship

IOWA CITY, Iowa -- Three associate professors of management and organizations at the University of Iowa College of Business Administration have been named fellows in the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology, Inc.

Of the organization's 3,056 members, only 215 have achieved the status of society fellows and five are on faculty at the UI College of Business Administration.

Murray R. Barrick, Robert D. Bretz and Timothy Judge have joined professors Michael K. Mount, Sara L. Rynes and Frank L. Schmidt in achieving this honor . These faculty have been cited for their outstanding contributions to the field of industrial and organizational psychology and the international recognition that their work has received.

Members of the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology benefit from the exchange of professional developments and scientific information. The society's goal is to promote human welfare by applying psychology to all organizations that provide goods and services.

Membership is open to all members and associates of the American Psychological Association, the American Psychological Society, or the industrial organizational section of the Canadian Psychological Association, and to those who are involved in research or practice in the field.
