University of Iowa student a winner at Cargill contest
IOWA CITY, Iowa -- UI junior Brandon Mills was a member of the winning team
at a recent Cargill Jr. Challenge Workshop in Minneapolis.
Mills was one of two students from the College of Business Administration
to attend the Jan. 17 workshop that gave sophomores and juniors from more
than 20 schools across the nation the chance to work in teams to design an
order entry system for Cargill customers to order products. UI junior Shawn
Huffman also attended the workshop.
In addition to the competition, students attended diversity workshops and
were given company tours. Cargill issues invitations to attend the workshop
each year to schools that it recruits.
The students were accompanied by Warren Boe, professor of management sciences.

milling, financial services and industrial products including metals and steel.
The company employs more than 77,000 people in more than 1,000 locations in
